Richardson Middle School has a rich history and long tradition of academic excellence. We have a knowledgeable and well-trained staff and faculty to support your child's learning, the only Pre-Advanced Placement program in the county entitled "SAIL”, Support of Academic Independent Learners. RMS offers many sports and extracurricular activities to help your child learn and grow. Additionally, we offer an "after school" program that provides students with tutoring opportunities and a chance to explore subjects in a deeper and more meaningful way.

Title I (SIG) School Improvement Initiative Grant
Richardson Middle School is the recipient of the Title I School Improvement Initiative Grant. This grant is being awarded to schools in Columbia County that have been designated as a Focus and/or Prevent School. The funds provided through the grant will allow our schools to focus on students that are low performing and/or non-proficient; and are not meeting requirements in reading and math. Extended learning opportunities during the school day will be provided by paraprofessional tutors under the direction of the classroom teachers. The grant also provides funds for professional development in the area of Common Core State Standards. You may view and/or request a hard copy of the grant which is located in the main office or view an electronic copy of the grant by visiting the RMS or district website:
